i wanted to get 32gb of ddr4 3200 cl 14 for my 8700k, but at these prices?

no way, i'll just be content with 16gb of ddr4 2400 cl 16

Why would you need that much RAM? 16GB is the sweet spot for most anything unless you are doing heavy picture/video editing.

And I should mention 2600 MHz is all you need.

No kidding, I was pricing out a 1500 with a hemi the other day and couldn't believe the price.

Back in 1995, Microsoft introduced Windows 95. I went with a friend to a computer outlet and paid $299 for a ONE GIGABYTE hard drive because I wanted enough room for this new OS and all my DOS games like Doom and Castle Wolfenstein and all the basic programs I had written in the BASIC programming language.

in 1988 I paid close to a G for a 120 megabyte drive, and I think $600 for a USRobotics 14.4k HST modem. I laugh at people today complaining how 16 gigs of memory costs like $200.
