Hehe, you read my mind on that one. I had already budgeted 3 Silverstone 120s but due to a failed 160gb drive on another PC I had to scrap the fan upgrade for now. Since I house the PC in a hutch, the fan noise issues are not as bad as the lack of fresh,cool air from keeping the hutch door closed. Yea, I do open the door when I game to keep the cooler air flowing, but during the day the door is shut. The Kama Bay fan upgrade for now has fallen in with the Silverstone fans pending news on how it will fit/be mounted in the Swing case.

I'll second that about the Tt12s being loud. Friend of mine got a Soprano case with two of them. Needless to say, they're not in there anymore. 2 of them made a real racket.

Rally, why all the fan grills? They restrict SOME airflow, and whose going to stick their fingers in the fans? And also, why is that so bad? I do it often enough when testing which fan is making any noise. It doesn't hurt, it hasn't killed any fans (yet) so why have the grills at all? Unless you like the look of course. I prefer 'naked' fans though. Just my .02.

I do like the look and the fact that it's safe. I stuck my finger in a fan once and I took some serious damage on middle finger 😛

...It looks like a have a steel saw, it wouldn't look nice, but the back never shows, if I can cut out that circle and buy a cheap wire grill I'm set! I'll probably buy that 80mm now since it's easy and that fan makes the most "wooshing" noise in my comp right now.

edit: the chrome of the grill would reflect the blue light so I think I'll keep that.

Roger that. My fan grills do indeed reflect the blueness 😀
