Just sick of people commenting on members and not talking about the information presented in the posts. I mean, jeez, it's a godd@mned review of a fukcing video card. If that doesn't count as news on a hardware video card forum, then I don't know what does. ADD the fact that it comes from a primarily anti-nV source, and it makes it all the more eye-catching.

That was actually an excellent review. I like how Rage3d has the graphs set up, where you can choose the modes. That really shows how much Nvidias AA performance needs work (unless that 4x was SS instead of MS)

I'm not sure I see the trolling in Rollo's thread starter. Seems to me he was just pointing out the irony of an ATI site reviewing an nVidia card.

If it's snowing in Hell, though, that would explain the weather. Apparently all the humidity from that vaporized snow escaped to the east coast.

Props to rage3d. It seems to me that anywho can read would be able to see that the 7800 is the fastest card you can get, why try to deny that? For those that don't need, or wish to pay the price for top level performance, ATI still has pleanty of very good cards, and so does nVidia. Perhaps someday ATI will be on top again, or perhaps not, but I'm very happy to see rage3d isn't just a fanboy site.

Edit: Rollo, if you ever wink at me, you darn well better be ready to back it up with a date.

Basically, Rollo loves computers like the rest of us. He spends money on the latest and greatest video cards to play with and shares the results with us. He criticized ATI for not supporting SM 3.0 with the x800 and x850 lines, so he's been labeled an "nVidiot." In a year when ATI has some good new technology that nVidia hasn't supported yet, and Rollo enjoys the feature set of his ATI card, he'll be an labeled an "ATI fanboy."

Truth is truth. What's so amazing about that? Perhaps Rage3D just isn't as biased as you believed is all. It was definitely a surprise to see an Nvidia reivew on their site, but their conclusions show them to be capable of giving credit where it's due.

I have to disagree with you. Just because ATI doesn't have any product that can compete in the extreme high end video card category doesn't mean there's "really no reason to buy an ATI card over an nvidia card these days.". There are still plenty of good ATI products to compete at the rest of the performance/price levels.
