Gosh almost thursday and still "processing". Chatter on SD says ZZF has been OOS on this card for some time even though the web site says in stock.

I must admit this is frustrating because I only ordered the card after getting a "back in stock" email notification from Zip Zoom Fly.

Email inquiries as to the status of my order have gone unanswered. It this point I would like to cancel but they have a statement saying if you don't have a "cancel" button on your order you can't cancel by voice/email.....

Really wishing I picked up the $179 7900GS from CUSA last weekend. At this rate it will be another 6150LE single monitor weekend.....

Got a phone call while I was at work for ZZF stating the product was OOS and will ship monday.

No big sales this weekend with bigger bang for the buck, so even though frustrated with ZZF will probably just sit it out....

Edit: Still has not shipped and rebate expires tomorow. Not sure what the issue is as my card was charged on the 5th.

Very frustrated with dealing with Zip Zoom Fly: Hours are horrible only have people there 0830 to 530PM (so you can't even talk to them before almost noon EST. When you call you can't get a live person, you can't even hold and wait for a live person, you can only leave voicemail and hope for a call back (I got none). They don't reply to the voice mail, they have not replied to one email.

Looking at maybe paying a little more and going with the $165 X1950 Pro at newegg or the $155 X1950 GT.

Finally after 10 days I got them to respond: They canceled my order.

So now that I'm not on-tap for a nonreturnable card (what was I thinking?) I am free to buy something else.

Ordering from newegg today means another 6150LE weekend so probably going with whatever CUSA or CC has on sale this weekend. Maybe the CUSA Visiontek X1950 Pro for $229 Or if I feel like dremeling my brand new BTX case the $299 PnY GeForce 8800GTS......

Edit: Doh the $299 8800 is not available in stores. End Doh.

8800gts can ge had for like $275 now 🙂

Just received my card.
End of box sticker with UPC code states this is HDCP enabled version.

Which UPC code do we send in for rebate?
There are 3 of them. Two different ones on the back, and the one on the end noted above.

Quick review of card. GREAT!
Was an upgrade from an x800 GTO.
Out of the box, 3dm2k5 scored 6850 compared to the 4480 the x800 overclocked ran.
Temps most of the time around 53c, and even after stress benchmarking, only 67c with fan still staying on low speed.
Fan sped up to medium when overclocking tool forces temps above 77c. (CPU 56c, sys 43c)
Works fine in small loaded Opteron 3GHz mATX HTPC case with only a 300w PSU. (1st concern)
Runs cool and quiet most of the time. (2nd concern). Only during boot up does high kick in.

Had no problems overclocking with ATi tray tools, but want to wait a couple days of breaking in before pushing things.
Overclocked untouched card to 594/819 (594/1638) with no artifacts.
Mainly installed ATi tray tools for temperature monitoring, but then overclocked it to test the limits of the power supply.
Figure if it runs everything overclocked problem free, then dropping it back to stock speeds should guarantee the power supply will work fine.
Most reviews of the x1900 are Rev1.
This Rev2 was a big improvement in size (only 1 slot), noise, temperature, and power requirements all of which are important for small PSU limited HTPC's.

Originally bought a 7600GT from CC BF $50 AR AC, but it was way too loud.
This x1900 is much quieter.

Just picked up a PNY7900GS at CUSA for $129 AR. Probably the best bang for the under $150 buck right now after this card. Plus no ZZF hassles, just the normal CUSA hassles (instore wanted $70 more for the card than online, had to show them their own web page showing the $129AR price to get them to sell it to me).

Last day for the current $124.99 AR SHIPPED price. Still shows in stock.

I think this is a terrific deal. The stock clocks aren't quite as high as the X1950GT and X1950Pro, but this one has both VIVO and HDCP, it's cheaper, and is apparently quieter. Was going to wait a couple more weeks to see what other Hot Deals came around, but with the R600 delayed, and nV apparently in no rush to launch their 8600's (just read they won't even have a booth at CeBIT) I decided to pull the trigger on this one.
