Radeon X1900 GT for $125 at ZZF

DOH. Thought my integrated graphics problems where solved. Does anyone know if this will work in the BTX based Dell E521?

F*ck ZZF. They waited all week until Thursday to ship my RAM. Now instead of getting it before the weekend w/ 2 day shipping, it's coming Monday. They can KMA

So how's this compare to the new $169 at newegg X1950GT? Looking at the specs the 1950GT has a slower GPU but almost double the memory speed? Any idea what that translates into in WoW?

Faster memory speed is definitely a good thing! The 1950pro is an excellent choice in the mid $150 price range unless you've got to have high end bragging rights.

1950pro at the egg for $165 after $20 rebate

Odd that the 1950pro is cheaper than the new 1950GT.

Very nice price but I'm leaning towards this X1900GT. It's $40 less and has VIVO.

that's what i'd do...idk about the rev 2 but my rev 1 oc's to x1950 pro speeds no problem (with stock cooler even). thing is on rev 2 you'd have to oc core and mem, not just mem, but you'd have to oc mem less. however the reason they underclocked the core in rev 2 is cuz they didn't have enough that could do 575mhz, so idk you'd probably have to be lucky to get one that'd clock that high. as for mem, you'd only have to oc it 30mhz; i had to oc mine 90mhz.

It's always a bummer to get late shipped goods when you'd like to have them in time to work on over the weekend.

Dude, I only play WoW. and if it would do two monitors my integrated 6150LE would be fine.

LoL. Thanks for the details though. If I ever try oblivion it might be another story.....

lol, dude if you just play wow go look for a 6600gt in the fs/ft forum. btw the x1950gt doesn't have nearly double the memory speed of the x1900gt, the x1950gt is 600mhz (1200ddr), the x1900gt rev1 is the same, and the x1900gt rev 2 is 660 (1320ddr). also note the x1950gt's core is 500, x1900gt rev 1 is 575 and the rev 2 is 512. so, the x1900gt's are better all around.

6600GT can't do WoW at 1920x1200 with 4xAA and 16xAF

🙂

WoW is a much nicer looking game like that.

Thanks F4Phantom and VooDooAddict

I'm running WoW at 1680x1050 (at least I will when I get my westinghouse fixed)

BUT: I may upgrade to something nicer before upgrading this graphics card.

I checked out 6600GT's here and on Ebay. I'm still looking at $60 or so (at least) for a PCIe dual DVI card and I loose ViVo/HDCP (I would like ViVo and HDCP may be relevant (or not) in the next year or two).

My only holdback is noise but if that's an issue I see newegg has an X2 for $16 that looks pretty decent....

OK I'm trying to order and ZZF is putting scented soaps in my cart along with the video card? What's with that, do they think I need a bath?

The connect3d card in the original post says it has 657mhz memory speed. That is actually double which would make it 1314mhz (for those of you mathematically challenged.)

All three cards (1900gt,1950gt and 1950pro) are good quality cards that you wouldn't go wrong buying, but the pro series are slightly better.

here's a HIS 1950pro for $154.99 after $20 rebate @nuegg 😀

The linked card has a rebate too. But it also seems like a decent deal.

I was looking at the pre-rebate price for those who don't like rebates ... but yeah, post-rebate makes it even better.

24 hours later and still "processing". Perhaps I should have gone with the egg (but then I would not get those scented soaps!).
