Radeon R9 290x QUADFIRE (Hell yeah)

My Valley score actually went down when I added a 4th Titan. Didn't really slow down either in the spots where it normally would have. It's like it simply has a max FPS cut off and stays around there. Not sure what's up with that.

Karlitos, do you have a Kill-a-watt? I'd like to see what it's pulling from the outlets. I ordered one a few days ago, so it should be here shortly.

Thanks man.

Unfortunately, Valley is not optimized for the R9 290 series yet.

Check how scaling is bad on Unigine engine (Valley and Heaven)

Is it Heaven and Valley or the drivers?

Is that your chart or from some review site? Looks like the Battlefields scale nicely.

What is the bridge setup? if it is full parallel you might have the top tube going into the wrong port at top. See my janky pictures below:

Dear mother of all that is holy, you are an enthusiast.......can I come to your house for Thanksgiving? :0)

Great ! 😀
Driver are really not mature yet, I think this card will be much better with proper drivers.

Hawaii is an expanded Tahiti, not a whole new arch, so drivers are fairly mature.

Yes, you ccan come play a little bit if you want 🙂

Hawaii is based on GCN too but its a whole new architecture. Drivers are not mature because nobody had experience with it. Drivers will mature for sure.

Since I wasn't at home when I first read this thread, I couldn't see the images in the original post. I read the post with the setup, but I must have missed the radiator sizes, because I wasn't sure how you were keeping those guys so cool. I mean... I use a 4x120 and a 3x120 with a 4770k and a single 780 (EVGA Hydro Copper) and I usually stay around 1-2C of ambient with my fans at about 800 RPM. ...then I saw the photos! 😱 Are you using quick disconnects with the external radiators? I think I saw something that could be one, so I wasn't sure!

Will you post some power consumption data like this?

Some data. PSU plugged into a tripplite isolator, on a "home run" dedicated 20A 120V line. (not your US standard 15A120V wall socket).

Killawatt power measurements (at the PSU plug) = complete system draw for "ParkBench"

3930K @5.0(1.523V)
2xTitans SLI (svl7v3 bios, softvoltmod, LLC=0)
50" 4K monitor (separate socket)

Bios = 220W (post and F2)
Boot = 500W (peak, W7x64)
Idle = ~ 160-170 watts
Browser = ~300W
Super Pi = 340W
p95 (5 min per FFT, 8G ram) = 600W (597+/-)
3Dmk11 (P) @ 875/3005 1.16V = 800-900W
3DMk11 @1215/3602 1.3V = 1190-1220W !!!
Valley @ 1215/3602 1.3V = 950-1050W (1080P ExHD)
Firestrike @ 1215/3602 @ 1.3V = 1050-1130W (default)

So.... my 1200W PCP&Cooling PSU is barely enough!!

Adding a second PSU (Seasonic 1080) and driving one card and some fans fixed any overcurrent shutdowns. Used an "add2psu" for the second power supply. works flawless.
3DMK11 @ 1280/3728 (P) will actually complete a run! Note, my MB has PSU power warning hardware/firmware - it would light up with one PSU when a heavy OC was on the CPU and SLI Titans, haven't see that since adding a second PSU

I imagine you *might be hitting a wattage wall even now. Are you planning to up the power tune or voltage? I know there is no real use for it, but 4x 290x 1.25vcore @ 1300 would just be the whipped cream on the cherry on the ice cream on the icing of the cake.

I have PT1 BIOS

Power Tune : +150%
