Nothing new, was already posted Thursday

Get a life man or just let other people discus. You are not the only person who can post about new tech.

Who lit a fire under your ass? :Q

I wasn't the one who posted the original thread that I linked to. I was just making sure that the original poster got credit for what he found and first posted on the General Hardware forum. And if you see the smilies in my post, I was in no way being mean to him. rockHard didn't seem to have a problem with it. So go suck on a lemon or some other oblong object ;)

Status doesn't matter. Who cares about status? The only time my status ever came into play is when yesterday I was buying a WinTV 404 PCI on the FS/FT forum and I asked if I could pay with a money order and he said sure 'cause he could trust an "Elite Member" :)

Otherwise, it's just something for everyone else to fight and get upset over.

i'm running a voodoo3 in win2k and i've had NO problems, my computer NEVER crashes. i've got it overclocked from 366 to 495 dual too
;)
anyways, as for ati, i think they make great, stable cards, but i can't see them being the performance leader for very long. nvidia and 3dfx are just too good, too competitive. don't knock 3dfx too much, don't forget the voodoo1 and 2, those cards destroyed everything else on the market...who knows what they have up their sleeve.

I read that Q3 has a rounding bug in the physics calculation that recalculates once per frame, giving a minute increase to your speed per frame. Cards producing really high fps seem to be able to hit a sweet spot and allow jumps etc that are higher than lower fps cards (nothing to so with the speed of the eye... you are physically able to do more in the game due to the bug).

The unofficial Q3 patch is supposed to "fix" this along with some other things, but I don't think it is being well recieved.

Its always good to have plenty of surplus fps capacity for complex scenes etc, plus the lack of motion blur means you can tell the difference between 24 fps and 60 quite easily.

Its good to see u see it that way too :)

It just makes me feel sorry for the young kids making themselves out to be older than they really are scuffling with some of the older members in here - u can tell they take it really badly and probably get really uspet over it. Maybe its just me being a big softy but hey, if kids get treated roughly in the BBS's when their young going to be great peers for the future young BBS members yeah?

Maybe someday we'll all get along just dandy :) Hmmm? Wake up Rockhard! Real World! :(

Shame they cant do it for quake2 as well :(

When i used to play on my P2 266 with a 16mb Banshee i used to get sick of gettin my ass kicked by someone on a lot faster system.
U could tell because u just couldnt keep up with them :(
Its about time we all played on a more level playing field :)

Cheers for the info, i look forward to seeing that bein implemented :)
