Well, it means the HD 2900XT is faster than the 8800 Ultra in 3D Mark benchmarks. The Ultra WR is 29k~ meanwhile the XT has now beaten 30k, WR for a single card. The processor speed is irrelveant.

All, I'm saying is this card will OC and I've seen MS SDK DX10 benches so this is looking like a good performing DX 1O card.
There's a DX10 game or demo coming on the 15th . whether it will run on all DX10 parts Idunno

Seeing how 8800 / HD 2900 series cards perform in Lost Planet, our first DX10 game, will be almost as interesting as seeing the R600 performance results on Monday.

I mean, come on, the GPU temp was -13*C.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that was an indication of real world performance. It was merely cited as an example of what the R600 core could do when pushed to the limit.
