Does it matter whether it's and ATI-made card or if it's ATI/Saphire made?
What would the difference between the two cards if there's any?
I think it's clocked the same as a 9700pro but due to advances in architecture, ect. it is a little faster. There's should be reviews abounding...do a search.Originally posted by: elkinm
Exactly how much slower is a 9800 non-Pro? Something like a 9700 Pro?

Best Buy and Newegg are carrying them (Newegg = Sapphire brand).Originally posted by: Y23KC
I don't think the 9800 non-pro has made it's way to retail locations. They are usually just found in Dells right now from what I understand. If it's a pro, it's a hot deal. If it's non-pro, you don't really gain anything from a 9700 pro.

is there a big difference in performance between the 128mb version and the 256mb version?

Well don't forget this is the ATLANTIS Radeon 9800 Pro, I just checked Newegg myself to see if they carry that card, and they don't. So any picture you are comparing from there is a card from another manufacturor, and often they change around some colors and placement, some add heatsinks, etc, so that their card looks different from the competition.
