Cause and effect bud. If "blame" has to be placed somewhere, and it usually does, there is nothing wrong with blaming AMD. They're not gonna hate you for it. No worries.
lol : ) You forget who you are talk to sometimes !
Anyways from experience i know that employee hate few things :! New boss and working for a place where everyone is scared to do anything. When i worked for a big company that shall remain nameless but you should know the company name keysplayr2003, the boss responsible for TV division for a company that shall remain nameless, was very strict. He got annoyed with any employee that came work late even few late , or browsing the web , or wearing not formal clothes. All his employee lived under huge fear. All the people he managed left after few months which was total chaos if you think about retraining a new person then seeing him leave because he couldn't handle the stress after being under fear because the boss was way to strict. He basically lost the company 35% of the market to another competitor since he had no experience staff that could channel operating or marketing effectively. Then one day he left to work for another company that paid him better.
Anyways problem with a lot major corporation is that alot of their division has really incompetent managers. Old manager can't change with the time and young manager are stuck between old ideas and new ideas. When you work for a division that relies on highly specialized people you really would be wanting a person that knows how to manage because, problem with company likes Nvidia and ATI, if they loose their hotshot programmer , hardware who basically leads the inexperience, they are screwed unless they have another person that can replace him. ATI lost many experienced Architectural Design and Engineering which takes one whole year to recover. In 2006 Nvidia had lost some iof their best driver software engineer because they weren't happy with working environment in Nvidia's Driver Division and they suffered too.
ATI doom faith saved Nvidia in reality in the eyes of stupid financial analyst that think Nvidia is now 3 to 4 times bigger than AMD and ATI combine . Sad bit is that can destroy and or stop a company from growing. Apple knows how to please the analyst while Microsoft don't know how.
