Racism in Jokes

IMO racial jokes are ok as long as it's a JOKE. But when someone starts to put down a race and they mean it, that's not right. I'm Chinese myself and I have no problems with people telling Chinese jokes. In fact, 95% of the racial jokes that I tell are about Chinese people. I have friends of all races and they don't take offense when a racial joke is told about their race. We all get a laugh out of it. If you put so much emphasis into it and feels offended, you're probably the real racist.

As long as it's a joke, it's not a problem. If the individual is being serious in their racist characterizations, it's an entirely different story.

However, you seem pretty confident that it was nothing more than jokes. If you moderate the type of forum where offending people is frowned upon, then close the thread. If you allow people to get loose, make racist/dirty/whatever jokes, and things of that nature... then you need to go ahead and let that slide. It's not that big a deal.
 
Most racial jokes can just be swapped out with another race or group. Those arren't even racist. But whatever, its a losing cause.

No, they are usually the best ones. But then again, nothing offends me.
There just aren't any good racist jokes about white guys.

Not really "racist," but I've been around when someone has told Polish jokes before, it didn't bother me a bit. It's retarded IMO to take those jokes personally.
