You don't hear asians in particular be complain about why this and why that. Asians have been minorities since back in the days. And still struggling to fit in the melting pot. So stop whining and be a bigger white guy. Theres too much divisions in our society, we don't need more.
I would love for you to see parts of California, Oregon, and other states where the asian community is so dense and restrictive that whites (in particular around here) and other races don't dare go.
The asians are well seated here. Besides, I'm not bitching that I don't have my own "division;" I'm bitching that anything I try that doesn't fit into the black community perfectly is considered racist. Diversity? Hah. Our nation may "prosper" from "diversity" but all it builds is spite in each races' eyes because the other races don't acknowledge them. It needs to be a uniform nobody's-better-than-anyone-else atmosphere, but it's gone from anti-black in the 1700/1800's, to almost-nobody's-better-than-anyone-else, to anti-anything-but-black.

In the end, I think it's just people are scared to say anything. They're scared of being called a racist.
IMO, a high percentage of black entertainers are EXTREMEMLY racist, but can get away with it. How many millions of times has a black comic started a joke with, "You know when white people...." or "White people don't understand....." People are too scared to call Chris Rock a racist or Eddie Murphy a racist or Bernie Mac a racist. All of them have impersonated a white person in a mocking tone. They all do the "white" voice.

Uh...not really. Sure, they legally had rights, but that didn't suddenly transform them into equal citizens in the eyes of the majority. Society continued to marginalize them anyway, so they created stuff like BET that was by them and for them since that was the only way it was going to happen. If you'd bothered to read everything I posted instead of just calling a single line "bullsh*t" you'd see that I went on to posit that this kind of mentality is slowly giving way to a more normal "integrated society" mindset. I also detailed an example of this shift in thinking a synopsis of a recent local election. If you're going to start such a broad-reaching thread, it would be nice if you would actually compose a few real responses instead of just giving props to those who agree with you and calling the rest BS. I put a lot of thought into my resposes and I feel an equal respose on your behalf is warranted. Fair enough?

there's no WET or White History Month most likely because in remembering the things we've done right, we'd also bring up the things we've done wrong.
Because, in all reality, most television is aimed at the white community. I'm not saying that black people only watch BET, but the majority of people watching ABC, CBS, NBC, etc., are white.
The name Black Entertainment Television is an extremely stupid name for a channel......does anybody know when it was formed? Perhaps back then it did not seem as strange, since black couldnt drink out of 'white' water fountains anyway, so, in that mindset, why not have their own channel of Television? Now, to start a channel called WET would be racist because nowadays the race issue is much larger.....you try to tell a story about how a black kid tried to steal your bike, and people start to say "Why did you mention the kid was black? That's racist...".
White pride symbolizes KKK, aryan race, etc. It's going on the idea that the Caucasian race is superior to any other race. Black pride doesn't imply that the African/African-American race is better than everyone else, it just being proud of what you are.....for example, ffmcobalt, you're Proud to be an American, right? just because high school history ignores pretty much everything that happened doesn't mean nothing happened outside of europe ever. but thats the impression you'd come away with reading a so-called world history book in high school. empires rise and fall in africa and asia and they're not mentioned. china is a superpower for millenia and you might get some mention of a few dynastys. heck, europe is largely ignored during the industrial revolution (your point) after its pointed out that england started it and some americans did some industrial espionage and brought the tech here. don't hear much about europe after that, except for a small blurb about napoleon taking over europe for a short while and selling louisiana, until the arms race between england and germany in the early 1900s. no mention of 1920s europe, a little bit about hitler's rise to power, then boom, WWII and then the cold war.
I refuse to believe that my "white pride" has negative connotations with it other than the fact that I can't stand the black "I'm better than whites because of what they did to my ancestors and they're all the same now" attitude. I also refuse to believe that something I had no business in and strongly disagree with will hover over me and always will. You know why it always will? Because the blacks won't fscking let go and they keep digging the trench between blacks and whites deeper and deeper and making themselves so seperate from other groups (specifically whites)
I mean, come on... I don't understand why I have to suffer because of something that happened in the past and now isn't an issue at all. They have all the freedom that I do - and it sickens me that I have to keep calling them 'blacks" or the rediculous "politically correct" version which is "African American" because I don't like considering myself different than "them" other than levels of melanin.
BTW... white supremecy, NeoNazi, and the KKK can all burn in hell.
