It's sort of an oldie, but it's worth it to be refreshed. My informants claim (and Creig should back me up on this) that the 520 in all flavors except the high-end will be easily retailed. However, the high-end part is just not getting enough yield to make it a market feasible chip. The hopes of a Press Edition are also lost.
Old info? Try this: The high-end part was supposedly 24 pipes, but due to yields, only the 16 pipe chip will make it to market. ATi will wait until it moves to the 70nm process before seriously reconsidering the 24 pipe version.
