For those that know how to ride, when they're making those raelly sharp angled turns, do their knees actually touch the ground and they have some kind of rollers on the pads or are they just really really close?
The knees have a special protection. They actually do drag the ground.
^ this guy would know.![]()

Sorry for what happened to this guy in the video but I don't buy the theory that bad drivers are the root of most motorcycle deaths. Every, and I mean every, motorcycle rider I've known has stories of drag races, road racing, or topping their bike out. A good friend of mine from my late teens was killed on a bike. I wasn't there when it happened but the story was he tried to pass traffic in a blind turn. He was one of those guys who used his bike to go in and out of traffic like he was immune to the rules. He always wore a helmet but going head on into a car it didn't matter.
Just this past weekend I was getting ready to ride my bike (pedal bike) on a trail alongside a major road and 2 guys on sport bikes (motorcycles) went flying by doing high speed wheelies down this major road toward a big interesction. Had something happened to them who would've been at fault? Them for their unsafe stunt driving or the car that "got in their way". This video doesn't show what happens before the accident but I have to ask how fast was the motorcycle going? I do a lot of driving with my job and I've seen many sport bike riders using their power and size to squeeze in and out of tight places to zip through traffic. That works right up until the one time it doesn't.
Again, I watched this vid without sound and I don't know the details of the accident but it seems like every time a motorcycle is in an accident all the riders blame the car and it's not always the case.

Look up the Hurt Report. Although many stereotypes about riders are true, I think you are unfairly characterizing them based on your personal (and statistically limited) experience.
"The failure of motorists to detect and recognize motorcycles in traffic is the predominating cause of motorcycle accidents. The driver of the other vehicle involved in collision with the motorcycle did not see the motorcycle before the collision, or did not see the motorcycle until too late to avoid the collision"
"In multiple vehicle accidents, the driver of the other vehicle violated the motorcycle right-of-way and caused the accident in two-thirds of those accidents."
"Most motorcycle accidents involve a short trip associated with shopping, errands, friends, entertainment or recreation, and the accident is likely to happen in a very short time close to the trip origin." (i.e. not doing crazy stuff)
...Here is the driver fault, the guy in red leather said that they were speeding and this driver wanted to take left, he first stopped, and they thought that he is gonna wait until they pass, but in the next second he pushed the gas pedal thinking he has time to pass....and this horrible accident happend...Originally posted by: Triumph
I don't understand what happened. The guys were coming down the road, someone was coming from a side street on their left, he stopped, then decided to go right in front of the bikers?
man that is so stupid. people aren't equipped to drive cars.
