My cousin is a fulton county sheriff, he's been calling me giving me the details, and they're sure Benoit did the killings, but you know how it goes, they can't say it yet.

When I first heard of this I felt sorry for him and his family. I was hoping that murder/suicide wouldn't be the result, but so far it looks like it is. I feel sorry for his family, but I can't believe anyone would kill their own wife and child. This is messed up.

I always find it funny when the cops say something then follow it up with that they still are awaiting further evidence to confirm things.

Why even say anything in the first place when they don't know for sure. It'll save them so much time and possibly embrassment.

it's strange, i was just reading on abcnews about how if a wife and kid is killed, the suspect is usually the dad. early monday morning... this is freaky...

Wrestler Chris Benoit, wife and child found dead

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. --Pro wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and 7-year-old son were found slain Monday at their Fayetteville home, authorities said.

Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being investigated as a murder-suicide, but said that could not be confirmed until the evidence was examined by a crime lab.

WAGA reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend, and then himself sometime Monday.

A concerned neighbor called police. The bodies were found in three different rooms.

The lead investigator, Sheriff's Lt. Tommy Pope, told The Associated Press that the deaths were being investigated as homicide, and said the cause of death awaited autopsy results on Tuesday.

Pope said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details about the deaths at the house in a subdivision near White Water Country Club.

Very strange. I loved Chris Benoit, and agree that he seemed like a level headed guy, for years he's been in it for the love of wrestling, not the fame, and I always respected him for that. But if he killed his wife and kid (speculation), then that's really surprising.

Damn a double murder/suicide.............................I never thought he could ever do that. He seem like a cool guy that loved his family. I want to know wtf happened to cause him to snap. I watched this guy ever since ECW days and I really want to f'n find out why he killed them and then killed himself. I feel bad for Dean Malenko, he lost both Eddie AND Chris, he is without anybody else left in the WWE. I just really want to know what caused him to snap.

What an awful turn of events. He was definitely one of my favorite wrestlers.
 
He probably realized that all of his money fame and life came from being a soap opera star and flipped out. Its a shame that he killed others before himself.
 
Wow this really doesn't make sense. I guess I havn't watched wrestling in awhile but Chris always seem to a level headed person. I doubt we'll ever know what snapped to cause him to commit such a horrible act.
