Their sandwiches are expensive, but damn good. My friends and I go there for lunch when we can, and we're on high school budgets. I'm sure you guys can afford it.

Now the only one is about 18 minutes away and im not even going to drive that far for a sandwich. The funny thing is.. its 1 minute away from my girlfriend house which is not considered far away to me.

That makes perfect sense to most guys, I would think.

It's about time they start to die. One opened near my office a year or so ago... and was insanely popular for about a week. Since then, there's been a total of maybe 1 car in the parking lot at a time. 😀

Every Quiznos I've ever seen has not been in a prime location. That's likely half of the problem right there. They always seem tucked away in has-been strip malls or by the wayside next to a moving van rental company.

Why go to Quiznos when you can get better food at Chipotle for the same price?

A burrito with chips and a drink is STILL cheaper than the average Quiznos sub.

Actually I don't think its too expensive for most people, simply too expensive for what you get, which is lots of bread and skimpy toppings. They taste good but the sandwiches just aren't worth paying nearly as much as they charge, and probably above all things, I hate to be overcharged.

I go to Quiznos quite a bit still, only because you can get the combo meal with chili now instead of just chips. Their chili is damn tasty and well worth the $2 with a drink. Without that, I'd never go there.

no way man. Potbelly rules Chicago

I have always hated toasted subs until I had the wreck at Potbelly. I have fallen in love.

I think quiznos is pricing themselves out of the game.

For people that can afford daily $10 lunches, they are not going to get subs. There a million other local restaurants (not fast food) that offer tastier meal for the money.

A friend of mine owned a Quizno's resturant for about 18 months before he went out of business. He cussed Quizno's Corp. to no end with thier coupons, cost of food and supplies, and hours of operation. Forced him to stay open hours he was losing money.

The corporation was too busy trying to make money instead of helping their franchisees money.
Its a simple business model. The franchisees have to make money for the corp. to make money long term.

i remember reading that the franchises were ripoffs.
the few times i went was because i had a coupon😛
the places were always pretty empty....
needless to say i never went back. the subs were not worth the price.

You're making me feel bad for using their coupons. 😱 My local Quiznos closed, so I don't go there as often. It was in a pretty bad location for an expensive sandwich shop - it was in a lower class area. My parents know a family that opened 5 Quiznos, they closed all of them after a year or two. They also complained about the coupons.

something about the interior of the quiznos didn't jive either. like it was trying to be too fancy which didn't match the whole concept of eating subs.
they couldn't pull off the starbucks thing at all.

The one in downtown NY sucks. I finally swore off that place after a few times. Their (quiznos) best sandwich, the prime rib, was horrible. I don't know what that location does to it. There's always a person standing outside of it passing out coupons.

have to agree with everyone in this thread. Way overpriced! For $10 I can go to chili's, applebees, wegmans, etc and get more food thats better tasting with a drink
