Quiznos Dropping Like Flies

Welps, thats the 3rd one i visit semi-near my area thats gone. Damn it! I love quizno's but they keep going out of business. 🙁

Now the only one is about 18 minutes away and im not even going to drive that far for a sandwich. The funny thing is.. its 1 minute away from my girlfriend house which is not considered far away to me.

And the last one close me doest even have Mustard, now thats telling me something. They cant afford it in there budget or something. They only have honey mustard :/ but alot of people want mustard i thought.

Dang it.

They are great, but they are just too overpriced compared to subway or any other place. I think that will be their downfall.

There used to be two within 5 mins of my house, but they both closed down over a year ago. Jimmy John's seems to be filling the void, at least in the Chicago area.

No surprise, given the 'contemptuous' way corporate has been described as treating their franchisees, shoving coupons down their throats and opening a new one down the street as soon as another one starts making money.

i tried those sammies

i wanted to try all four kinds, so that was $8 plus tax with no chip/drink 🙁

the chicken one and the italian one were most tasty

You sure about that? One in my old neighborhood which is 1 hour away from me had mustard. The 2 i went to in my current neighborhood had original mustard.

I am guilty of printing out the coupons and using them every single time i could. It a expensive sandwich, but i cant drive my DD v8 engine car that far because ill be wasting too much gas for an expensive sandwich so thats about $12 gone for my sandwich.

They're pretty good but in general are overpriced for what you get.

I could go get a Boars Head sub for what I'd pay for a Quiznos.

Oh and Firehouse Subs are better (IMO) and toasted

I've heard horror stories about the way corporate treats people who own the franchises.

If true that's death to any company. The franchisees are what make the company money.

You described the problem yourself in your OP. You had three of them in your "semi-near area". Competition from other businesses is bad enough, but they seem to want to compete with themselves as well.

Along with the other things mentioned, I think they are less selective in their franchise owners setting future shops up for failure.

I've never seen another major franchise advertise informational seminars on the radio and playing the "Own your own business!" card.

That just reaks of desperation to me. [EDIT]Or not desperation but just looking to make a quick buck on the franchise buy in.[/EDIT]

Let me re-phrase that...

nope, i live in the city CITY and i have to drive abit to get to any quiznos.

These quiznos was very far away from each other. Its just i could pick one i wanted to go just by going different directions.. south, east, west, north.

By no means they was near each other, but there gone now

Very true. That reminds me of businesses that are ALWAYS hiring and always have big ads in the paper trying to hire people. That tells me they don't pay or treat the employees fairly.

All their subs are so fattening. At least subway has some tasty subs that aren't filled with 30 grams of fat. The healthy subs like the "turkey lite" tasted like crap.

Up until a couple of months ago, there was a Quiznos within walking distance of my house. Used to love the Black and Bleu Salad. Very very tastey!

tacos > subs

i prefer quiznos over subway. But their subs are just too damn expensive. The only time I go there is when I have coupons. When the coupons stopped coming, I stopped going.

Every time I've gone to either Quiznos where I live they're manned by mid-20's stoners who barely say a word to me at all.

No thanks.
