Yeah, I had no stability problems. The highest load temps were about 58-59 degrees C, normally the were more like 56-57. I used that fan, Artic Silver III, and an AX-7.

My thought on the Palominos is, cooling them really isn't worth it. They just run so damn hot, that unless you have watercooling, you are going to have to put a big, loud fan to get the temperatures reasonable. If you aren't overclocking, might as well put on a reasonably quiet fan, seeing as how my processor was completely stable at these high temps.

If your board supports them, the Thoroughbred B Athlon XP's run quite a bit cooler. The 2400+, 2600+, and 2700+ are guaranteed Tbred B's.
