Quidditch gaining popularity

Well... considering the main piece of equipment in this game include items which do not currently exist:
1 - Flying Broom
2 - magical golden snitch

They're not playing quidditch.

call it broomball or whatever you want... but its not quidditch.

The golden snitch is the hard part. Something on motorcycles could be pretty cool, or maybe horses for the ritzier schools. Maybe something like a full contact polo.

Yes, a thousand times yes! I don't really know how polo is played, but I bet it can only be more awesome by replacing the horses with motorcycles.

I thought for surer I had my calendar wrong and this was some April Fools BS.

Nope - the future of america acting like complete fucking idiots.

Looking at all the chicks that are playing and having fun with this, it might not be such a bad idea to play this "sport".

I don't even have to look at the video to know that no matter how geeky/nerdy/dorkish it is, nothing will top grown men dressing up as knights and playing sword fights. I'm not talking about Rennaissance festivals - I'm talking about..

shit, I should just post the facebook pictures of an acquaintance...

Playing "Quidditch" or the medieval battle stuff still doesn't hold a candle to LARP'ing in the geeky/nerdy/dorkish continuum.

Yeah but this "Quidditch" bull is played out in public, meaning these losers make a spectable of themselves running around with brooms under their balls for all to see. LARPers usually LARP in their basements where nobody sees them.

So how do they do the whole flying around on broomsticks thing? Seems integral to the game from my limited exposure to Harry Potter.
