QUICK! is a CD a good template for 120 mm fans?

I recall seeing that suggestion on one of the cooling sites. As as alternative, the appropriate wire finger guard is a perfect template. That's what I used when I cut two holes in my case for 80mm fans.

That's what I use to cut 120mm hole in my case. It worked pretty well.

If you do, cut inside the line, not right on it.

I used a old CDRW that didn't burn right as a template and it worked perfectly.

can you guys please tell me how did you cut your case??
i couldn;t find the right tool to cut mine..
i just need to cut out the vent for the 80mm fan in my case
the vents caused turbulence and it is noisy

Break out the AOL discs...

I got s snip for like $10 bucks at local hardware store. Remember to get one that cuts left or right but not straight.

I used a variable speed dremel and about a hundred disks... but then I did a lot of cutting.

You might be able to cut the grillework out of your existing vents using an ordinary diagonal cutter (aka "wire cutter" or "side cutter&quot. With some cases, like an Enlight 7237, it is very easy. For cutting blowholes, I used sheet-metal blades in a jigsaw.

those cutters also known as dikes, i used a diamond dremel disk and an 18 volt sears cordless drill, very fun, till the mandrel broke and a diamond disk went frisbeeing around the garage, like one of those spy movies with the flying bouncing cutting disks, eye protection with rotational instruments!!!!
