Skoorbie and I dated for almost 5 years before we were engaged (we had to wait until we could support ourselves!) and then we were engaged for 9 months. To be honest, I knew he was "the one" as soon as I met him. :heart:

Hey MrsSkoorb... I've heard many people say "I know he/she was 'The One' as soon as we met". How did that feel like, and how were you so sure? Was it initial infatuation, or something deeper?

We we together for 4 years. for 3 of those years we lived together. we will have been engeged for about a year and a half before we get married.
but, like MrsSkoorb said, i knew jason was it really early on... i knew because when i imgained my future and the like, he was in every part. I never had that ever before with other relationships. that is when i knew!

I proposed 3 years and 358 days after my first date with Mrs Dullard (not sure she'll like me calling her that). It was one week before our 4th dating anniversary - I did that so it would be a complete surprize. Engaged about 10 months. Married nearly 5 years now.

I met my fiance almost 4 years ago. We've been engaged since last summer. We'll continue to be until we can support ourselves financially and get done with school. Wedding is tentatively scheduled for September '05.

I knew mine for about 2 years before we got engaged, and was engaged for about 6 months before I broke the engagement. She married my roommate from college instead, 2 years later.

My husband and I dated for 3 years and 8 months before getting married. We were friends for 5 months before we started dating. Therefore, we knew each other about 4 years before taking the plunge. I, like MrsSkoorb, knew he was the one within the first few months of dating him (and he knew I was the one), but we wanted to finish our degrees before getting married so we could work full-time and be financially stable. I can't really explain how we knew, Dezign...we just did. He proposed to me 5 days shy of our 2 year dating anniversary; we were engaged for a year and 8 months (should have been shorter but we had to move the wedding date ahead 5 months, fron June to November). We met in college our freshman year...we had three classes together that first semester.

edit: dullard - my husband did the exact same thing to me!! Since it was 5 days before when I might expect it, I was totally surprised! :Q

2 months living together, got engaged, 13 months later got married.

I met my wife in September, we became engaged that November, and we were married the next April. She lived in Montreal, I lived in Virginia. Most people told us it wouldn't last. We will be celebrating our 19th anniversary this April. :wine:
