Is pledging synonymous with hazing?



On the same topic, what do you guys define as hazing?

Unfortunately there some fraternity?s where hazing is present, but not all of them. I know for a fact that Sigma Pi, which I am a member of, does not take the issue lightly. Hazing is strictly prohibited which I agree with. A fraternity is not seeing how big of a man you are, but meeting friends for life.

so the fraternity in question only does 1/3 hm.

There's more than that under the umbrella of hazing.

Line ups are considered hazing
Sleep deprivation is considered hazing (Hell Week, anyone?)
etc...

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and disagree with you..I am the president of my fraternity and yeah, i read ATOT. No, we don't haze people either, if for nobody's sake but my own. I don't want to end up in jail.

You stupid fvcks, don't talk about things you don't know. You can't answer this question if you aren't in a fraternity, because all you know is what you see in the movies.

Some fraternities do haze. Some don't. Some do to a lesser extent than you'd think. My fraternity does not haze at all, we are very strict about that policy as well.

I was in the biggest frat in the world, the Army. And yes there was hazing. As for college frats, they are gay.
