Yes, I also plan to go into Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroanatomy so I can learn how to make the changes needed to certain cortical areas. It really depends on how much of me I want to retain. If I want to be a male mind inside a female body with the ability to experience female sexual pleasure (which will be extremely kinky, to say the least), or if I want to become as much of a female that I can, or if I want become something entirely different than those two options. A nanotech lesbian (one that can switch sexual organs at any given notice) is an option, albeit perhaps an impossible one for quite a long time.

My goal is to become a super-brilliant super-hot lesbian... I doubt any of our goals are 1/1,000 as cool as mine. I have news for you... there is no such thing as "real life" as thought up by boring people (i.e 99.99% of humanity)... the only thing that is real is the laws of physics and cortical tissue. Yes in a general way but never specifying biological since there's not much in the way of other types of immortality; yes; yes; and yes. I don't see what that has to do with a complete lack of the first 2 of those existing or being likely to exist within the next hundred years, and the 3rd only existing in a technical dictionary definition way, or with the possibility of us completely and utterly understanding human consciousness and perfecting every possible field of medical technology in your lifetime (because in order to do what you want, everything will have to be improved radically, such as healing, brain surgery, hormones, cloning, et cetera). Oh yeah, and that YOU will do all of those things.
Sure it's a nice goal to be thinking of, but not a realistic one in any way, and could easily deflect someone from making a real contribution because they ignored goals that could be more easily achieved.
