I've decided not to buy. It is very likely I'll want to move into something bigger in the next 5-7 years, which makes buying a place now an exceptionally poor investment. It's doubtful any townhouse is going to appreciate much at all in that timeframe, and I'd be lucky to make back my investment.

A better thing for me to do is to rent and save up my money to buy a place outright or almost outright when I'm ready. Can't look at homes as an investment that you can flip in a few years anymore.
