So... I was diagnosed with ADD about a year ago. I was put on 5mg generic ritalin, and 36mg concerta, as I'm a college student studying engineering, and need more than ~11 hours of proficient work a day. Over the summer and into the fall semester, my doses were increased to 10mg generic ritalin and 54mg concerta. I began feeling over stimulated and developing headaches in the evening when the meds began to wane. I get migraines, so basically any headache that isn't a migraine typically turns into one.
Yesterday I saw my dr and was put on a one-week trial of adderall XR 15mg. I am completely unsure whether or not it is working. I thought adderall is supposed to have a very pronounced set of feelings when it is kicking in- but I've felt nothing. I couldn't sleep or nap on concerta/ritalin until it wore off- I took a nap yesterday afternoon on the adderall XR, and took it this morning upon waking, only to fall asleep for a few more hours.
I don't know whether to take all this as meaning that the dose is too low, or if my body is not responsive to this medication.
Any advice, input, or analysis of my situation would be greatly appreciated.
