OP, in case you haven't caught on yet, you are being fired.

Maybe the other tech is better, or more likely related to the owner.
Perhaps it's because you didn't get your license soon enough?

Can't fire a contractor.. just fail to give the contractor more work.

OP should be fired though because he was not a contractor because he/she/it was required to show up at particular times and utilize the equipment provided by the employer.
