I do frequenty change socks and shoes to prevent any odor or other problems though. How many people here claim not washing feet is disgusting then right after washing their feet put them in the same filthy Birkenstocks that they wore before the shower?

Trick question.

We all know that people who wear Birkenstocks do not shower.

No. I have some eczema on my hands and feet. It is made far worse by frequent washing. Plus, the medicine is a cream that gets washed away with the washing. So, I am very careful with limiting the number of washes. I shower at least 4 times a week (more if I'm dirty or sweaty for some reason). I rarely wash my feet between showers. So, no, I do not wash my feet every day.

LOL, if I pinched my nose and said the first paragraph, it sure would be an epic nerd imitation.

The debate wasn't to wash or not to wash, it was that a number of people actually don't wash their feet when they wash the rest of their body.

With that logic, you wouldn't need to wash your bathtub/shower stall then. But over time, soap scum, mldew, etc develops.
The type of soap I use doesnt build up with scum, and we keep the bathroom well ventilated to avoid mildew. My mother got me a shower squeegee so that gets rid of most of the water and stuff.

I almost never bend down to scrub my feet. The soaking in the shower is good enough and once I dried them with the towel they are clean.

For those who think it's disgusting, you poor things should find something more useful to be disgusted about.

When you stand, your feet push the water away. You really aren't getting much action under there unless you purposely clean.
personally i do purposely clean... i put my foot up on the ledge in there and give my tootsies some soapy love. but i believe they get cleaned pretty much the same amount just by sloshing around in the soapy water.
