question about VGA cooler

Which guard? And by blowing do you mean that the wind goes in the direction from the opposite to the side with the guard?
 
the sifde of the fan is black yes? now on the side, there will be 2 arrows. 1 for direction of rotation, 1 for direction of airflow. dont worry aobut the ffront, even if there is a cover, ther is space for air to get to the fan.
 
Just look at the fan. The blades look sort of like spoons. The blades spoon the air! Can you now tell which way the air moves?
 
There are arrows on my fans. I can also tell which way the blade should spin. They match.

So since I changed the directions of the fans I should close the front lids now?
 
I closed the lid and the ambient temp went up to 43 degrees and the gpu temp went up to 55 degrees. What happend? I thought it would help airflow.
 
When playing games the temp reached 63 degrees for gpu core and 50 degrees in the case. What's wrong with the case?

Where do you see this case temperature?
 
From the ambient temperature tab in the control pannel under nvidia display properties displayed together with the gpu temp.

That is not the case temperature. That is the temperature monitored by a sensor on the graphics card printed circuit board. This term "Ambient Temperature" confuses many thinking that it is the temperature of the case. The graphics card printed circuit board is going to be warm because the GPU and the RAM chips are all directly connected to it.

The temperatures you are seeing are good temperatures.

it's not bad, but it's not the best. it's in the top 75 percentile, but it is relatively cheap and since you are not athe poweruser some people on this forum are, anything more expensive would be overkill.(like using DDR533 ULL ram with amd64s.[saw someone recommend $100 for a 512mb stick of ram as "budget ram"])

i digress. The NVSilencer 5 will fit your needs. It's like buying a racecar for he average driver. so much powe that wil sit unused since there will never be a situation where it will really be all that stressed.
 
probably longer. ceramic bearings should last a long time(much loner than the aluminum ball bearings in the stock hs/f).
 
Be careful if you have SLI.

Most motherboards have only a small gap in between video cards and most VGA coolers (NV Silencer for one) will not fit on both cards. These coolers are fat, and your cards will no longer fit.

If you have the newer ASUS motherboard with the extra slot in between the video cards, you should be fine.. but otherwise, buyer beware!
