I f*ckin hate spiders. Spiders and needles are the only two things I fear. So anyways, with the arm weather and all, I've been finding spiders everywhere in my house and in my car and crawling around outside....it's disgusting. I bought some "HOUSE AND GARDEN" Raid form Home Depot. They really didnt have anything else specifically for spiders. Is there such a thing as a spider repellant? Or special spider spray or something that will make these f*ckers go away?

While I'm not exactly fond of spiders, they don't bother me too much. I usually only kill one if its bothering me, like crawling across the floor where I usually walk. If its up in a corner I usually leave it be, unless its particularly nasty looking. Here at my apartment we've had quite a few recently. I'd say between my roomate and myself we've killed probably 20 or so in the last few weeks. We should talk to our landlord about it since there've been so many, but oh well. The only one that really bugged me was the one that was on my bed, but he was probably just hanging watching some tv and surfing porn so I guess I could forgive him.

Back when I was a sophomore in high school my mom and I moved to a new house. There must have been close to 1000 spiders on the outside of the house. Well, my friends and I got a bucket and just knocked them all in it and let them have a huge Royal Rumble. There were a couple of BMF. Gave them a nice dousing of Raid and various chemical cleaners to ensure the death of the survivors.

Makes me think of this one secret stage in Doom 64 where its just basically steps and about 50 Spider Demons.

During summer months I bomb my house every other month. Brown reclouses are prevelant here, and are not shy.

After seeing the sore that erupted on my brother once from a bite - and the huge scar he still has today - I dont wanna get bit. . . not to mention there is a black widow outside my window now. . . (gotta remember to get that tommorow)

Reminds a room in Resident Evil 1 with 3 huge spider dudes in there.

WHat do you mean "bomb my house?" BLACK WIDOW!!!!! Man, if I saw one of them outside my window, I would immediatly destroy it (with caution.) Or I'd get my girlfriend to kill it. F*ck waiting till the next day....you've got balls.

My god, those are some crucial bites. I dont know what kinds of spiders Im seeing at my house. The ones outside are really small, about the size of a pinkie nail. There are a few in my house I've seen that range from the size of a dime to the size of a quarter.

The kind in my house (reclouses) go in your shoe while you are killing the harmless spiders then bite your big toe when you insert it . . . (reall), Reclouses also like pants legs. . . I shake my pants violently when I get them out of the closet and turn my shoe over and tap it too . . .

Actually it has been there all week, I just keep forgetting about it. Your thread reminded me. . .
A bomb is like a chemical mist that you set off. They used to be crude aeresol sprayers, not you can get one that you put in water and it generates a fine fog that permeates your home and kills all sorts of critters including spiders. . .

I found this....I'm probably gonna order it. It says you can spray it and it should take care of the f*ckers for months. That for a fort and the RAID spray I have as a weapon should protect my a$s for the summer. What do you think?

Looks like a winner

Go to walmart/target/kmart, etc and get the best bomb they have. Ask for help if you don't know what it is. . .

Alot cheaper, and I find them to be effective. . . get the ones that makes a fine fog. Costs about 10-12 bucks. . .

So a bomb is a fogger? Can you do that in your house? What about the fumes and all?

I've never had any problems. You have to schedule a day away from home. Set it off and come back like 6 hours later. I usually rewash my dishes and countertops etc. . .

It does keep the spiders away. . .

I've even had my neighbor complain that when I bomb, he sees more spiders (they run to his side of the apartment). . .Now he bombs the same day I do, and they go to our other clueless neighbors who also complain, but don't know what we are up to . . .

Yes a "bug bomb" is a fogger. It's best to use several to cover different levels and rooms throughout your house. There are DIRECTIONS on the can which states you should turn off your pilot light (gas furnace or gas stove/oven), close windows and set it off in the morning before going to school or work. Walmart/Target usually sells 3 pack bug bombs for around $12.
