ok. ive heard from a few people that guys are supposed to get the garter(garder?) from their dates. my date(hot) said that she was going to go get one with her friends. is there some sort of tradition with guys getting these, or are my friends full of sh!t.

I thought it was the thing that you tightened and made their boobs look bigger. Am I right? It goes around the ribs and compresses them (to an extent) and makes them look all skinny and big breasted.

It wasn't to me and my friends - we just paired up, went in a group, and hung out like we normally would. I don't get the prom-mania, except that maybe it's the last chance for these guys to get laid in the next ten years. 😛
 
yeah im not really into dances, but i really want to make this special for her. as long as she has fun, then im fine with it.
 
None of my friends are getting garters for their dates...but the new kool thing to do is for the girl to get you a garter, then you wear it as an arm band...lots of people are planning to do that this year 🙂

No, that is a girdle. A garter is a lacy elastic band that goes on the girl's leg.

I've never heard of the garter as a prom tradition, only a wedding tradition. I did catch the garter at the last wedding I went to.
