See, there's yer problem! I only eat brown rice. Soak it 20 hours in the fridge before cooking it (this begins the sprouting process and releases nutrients, it also makes it faster to cook).

i've never really liked eating rice in general. i just eat whatever is cooked for dinner, which happens to be rice. :(

That's a horrible way to live :p I guess I should be glad that my mom's an excellent cook and as I grew up, she cooked more non-Chinese meals...that said, rice/noodles will always be "home" to me.

I'm not Asian, but I really like rice. I've started eating oats more because they are healthier, but brown rice + cumin + salt is good. Brown rice with soy sauce and brocolli is also good... it's probably too late for you to grow much taller, but you can still start eating healthier foods, who knows.

Dude all the asian kids born here are pretty damn big. Of my cousins, 2 are 6'2, 6'1, 6, 5'10 and my cousinette is 5'8. I'm thinking it has less to do with genetics and more with what they are eating. I think when italians migrated here they were also considered shorter but over time they basically became close to the median size.

i'm currently 18 and 5'8".
myth.

you are probably going to be 5'8" from now on until you shrink with old age.

Take a look and you tell me =P

Rice is actually pretty fattening if you eat it all the time.

shorter then white women? i dunno about that.., most asians i know are atleast 5'10 5'11. atleast the american born ones. ones in asia are catching up. white women are average of what? 5'5 5 foot - 5 inches tall.http://www.halls.md/chart/height-weight.htm

i remember hearing on npr that different asian countries have different average heights. places like china are getting pretty tall. one of the shortest in asia is vietnam.

I reached my full height of 6'4" at around 18-19. I don't think anybody grows taller past that age.

6ft 4in 160lbs. you know, youre not a man till youre 6'.... sorry.

i think they have surgury where they repeatidly break your legs and put in small seperations, so when you heal youre taller...

Yes it is actually.

What do you mean by "a little help"?

Steroids will not make you taller.
