I own a dell latitude c600 notebook which I purchased in 2001 with 3 years of extended warranty with in home service, the complete care package. Since then, in only 1.5 year of normal usage, the harddrive, fan, and the modem has been replaced. However, even after all those replacements, the notebook still has a constant low pitch noise coupled with a high pitch whine occationally, at least 2 dead pixels, and slow modem speed that has not been fixed with the modem replacement.
Would dell just completely replace my whole notebook instead? I'm very unsatisfied with this machine, especially after paying 3 grand for it, although the support service has been excellent. So would dell honor my request for a new notebook or would they just continue to replace parts on the current one? And if they will give me a new one, how does it work, do I get to pick one of equal value or do they just give me one of equal performance?
Thanks
