Question about dell's warranty

I own a dell latitude c600 notebook which I purchased in 2001 with 3 years of extended warranty with in home service, the complete care package. Since then, in only 1.5 year of normal usage, the harddrive, fan, and the modem has been replaced. However, even after all those replacements, the notebook still has a constant low pitch noise coupled with a high pitch whine occationally, at least 2 dead pixels, and slow modem speed that has not been fixed with the modem replacement.

Would dell just completely replace my whole notebook instead? I'm very unsatisfied with this machine, especially after paying 3 grand for it, although the support service has been excellent. So would dell honor my request for a new notebook or would they just continue to replace parts on the current one? And if they will give me a new one, how does it work, do I get to pick one of equal value or do they just give me one of equal performance?

Thanks

did you get any documentation about the Complete Care Package? you may want to read all the fine print and see if they talk about complete replacement.

that really sucks your C600 has been giving you that much trouble. you seem to have a good case for a replacement. good luck!

It's doubtful.

If you can make a compelling case to the right person, perhaps.

Finding that person and making the compelling case are your mission now.

I can't seem to find the documentations, so I don't know what the fine print is.
But don't you think that it would be a lot cheaper for dell to just replace my whole notebook than getting a technician out to replace parts everytime something goes wrong?
Even the technician himself told me to get ask for a new one instead, so I guess it's doable.

If you have complete care run it over with your car

Or just be creative with the call center drone and get a sh1t ton of parts sent out, 95% of the time the in home tech will just slam all the parts in and run
