Mods will only ban for an established pattern of "extreme stupidity." Let's give dsj a mulligan on this one, hope that something was learned, and let it go.

Even though i dont like ATI i still respect sapphere. All the way. They are second in command after ATI's original brang made cards.

I know sapphere is bad but how is powercolor?

From what I remember reading on the forums or in one of AnandTech reviews, Sapphire builds the video cards for ATi, the Built By ATi (BBA). Then Sapphire makes their label on the cards too.

I had a 9700 Pro for almost 3 years, a couple weeks ago the fan on it died, ended up replacing the fan and worked for a while, but just ended up replacing the video card entirely.

dsj,

I try and help you with your power supply question the other day, and now you are here posting stuff like this?😱

So this board is a gathering of lowclass profaners? you people are a disease in the society. The world will be a lot better with out your sass.

Matthias99 has it right, both Powercolor and Sapphire make great cards.

You really need to relax a little or you will soon find out that people will not help you at all.

But I heard that sapphire cards break every 6 months. And does powercolor cards brake like every month?

Oh man, my Sapphire 8500 is like 4 years overdo for a "break". That means my BBA 7200 is bound to break any minute...

Nope they still work, I guess you heard wrong, or from people that made broad generalizations from sour experiences with 1 card.

Link to the PSU topic? 😛 I gotta read that..

Sapphire is the manufacturer of my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.

I purchased my Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro in February 2004.

It has been running in my PC since then and it is still running as I type this.

So in response to your opening statement, No. Sapphire cards are not bad. Sapphire is one of the better ATI card brands.

I hope that my grammar was up to standard and I thankfully didnt curse either.

By the way, Im English so fogive me when I say PowercoloUr.

My Sapphire x800pro ViVo and ATi x800xt pe cards are IDENTICAL in every way ( incl. components, layout, HSF, etc. ). I can only assume that these two cards are made by the SAME foundry, whether that is Sapphire or ATi. Both cards work extremely well with the exception that my x800pro ViVo won't overclock above 500 MHz core / 560 MHz memory and "runs hot." The x800pro ViVo is a failed x800xt part.
