have you ever heard a loud OEM system? i haven't.
Why not state there using corsair? is that asking too much.

You are grasping now. The argument you based your criticism on was based on your lack of understanding on the different types of ram. Give it a rest. I am sure a simple call or email to their customer service people will get you the the exact ram they use in their systems. As far as divulging the exact parts they spec out in their systems Alienware releases far more information than any other large OEM i know of. For myself while i think they are very good systems probably the best oem gaming systems you can buy I figure i can usually build 1 1/2 nearly identical systems myself for about the same $.

According to the July 2003 issue of Maximum PC, which has a review of the $2,999 Area-51, it uses 1GB Corsair DDR400 (two 512MB DIMMS). It doesn't get any better than that.
Thanks, if I decide to be lazy and not build my P4 I'm seriously considering Alienware, though ABS and Dell are also choices.Originally posted by: Ardan
I have two home-built PC systems that perform flawlessly and have no issues. I am not biased towards anyone but Alienware is a lot more than just a maker of flashy PCs, as someone stated in here. My friend bought one, and it is a great PC with all of the features that one person mentioned (email notifications of driver updates and more). Plus, I wasn't called over to sit down and figure out how to get the top performance out of his PC. He bought the PC last week and that AlienIce system is NOT loud. That system is very quiet and I give them a lot of credit for building a stylish, fast, and relatively quiet PC.
