That's a pretty good question. I went to their site to see if I could easily dig it up and it didn't say on the memory details page. I have to say that, unless I'm tired and missing the obvious, them not listing the brand is kinda pathetic on their part. Oh well, still no reason to buy from Alienware...

Why?
Because you can build a system with the same performance for a lot cheaper. Why?
I disagree. Sure, Most any of us here in this forum could build a gamer box comparable to what Alienware sells, But what about the not-so-building-savy that want a gaming hotrod that's pre-built, burned in, tested thoroughly, warranted, and ready to frag out of the box.Oh well, still no reason to buy from Alienware...
because they may be using crappy DDR, and for the prices they charge, they better by using XMS
All wrapped in a not-much-upgradeable proprietary box.you can get a Dell that performs almost as well for much less money
Um...Not everybody that games can do that.People who want the absolute best in performance. Build a system yourself.
Maybe..Your system will run faster
Huh...Where did you get that from? Obviously people can afford their complete systems as well as other OEM's or they would be out of business by now.People who are ungodly rich and can afford to buy a new PC every time their computer has a problem

But that Dell probably had
1. really bad sound card
2. bad RAM, or too little
3. XP Home
4. 13" POS moniter

I love that statement... don't you just hate it when you're driving along in a tank in BF1942 and you're getting shot but you can't hear which direction it's coming from because your computer is louder than gunfire?AlienIce? is quieter than most cooling systems, so it won?t disturb game play.

According to the July 2003 issue of Maximum PC, which has a review of the $2,999 Area-51, it uses 1GB Corsair DDR400 (two 512MB DIMMS). It doesn't get any better than that.

The same people who buy the 3.0 GHz P4 or the 3200+ Barton even though the 2.8C GHz P4 and 3000+ Barton perform withín 5% of it and cost like 60% of it.but who spends 3Gs on a computer?

I was asking about Alienware because i saw one @ best buy, and omg, the graphics were flawless and the performance was awesome.
