Finally, a new Star Trek movie that might be worth watching. Admittedly QT will still be pitted against people instrumental in making the Star Trek franchise the steaming pile of manure it's been for many years, but I will allow myself a bit of optimism at this point.

I've really enjoyed the new Trek movies (didn't think the last one was very good though). I think the cast is excellent and JJ's direction good too. I was never a Trekkie nor much interested in it until Abram's 2009 reboot so I gotta give him credit for that.

This new one could be interesting with Tarantino at the helm. Maybe Spock will be dropping f-bombs left and right.

I'm sorry, but this just doesn't seem like a good match. There's no way Quentin won't be pinned down to not do what he wants, and if he DOES get to do what he wants all the 'trekkies' will hate it. If you don't like Discovery, there's just no way.

I have the same concern. I don't think they will give QT enough creative control.

I like Star Trek (pre-JJ), I like QT, so I'll be curious about this one.

Honestly, I liked old ST, and I liked the JJ ST. Didn't really care for the newest one, but I definitely never got all the hate for the reboots...as far as reboots go, they beat the Star Wars prequels by a mile and not as bad as most reboots.
