I can't believe some of the guys on the show in their "before" state. I'm not the most fashion-forward person in the world, but most of these jokers live and dress like I did in college and wonder why their g/f won't move in/they can't get a job/etc. Do the dishes and take a fscking shower once in a while!

Excellent show.

I would love to have some gay guys to give me fashion/decorating/grooming tips...but I have my wife for that :)

really, what is the problem with five guys making over another guy? is this encroaching on your "masculine" territory? THE HORROR THE HORROR!

i'm hooked on this show now. they're hilarious, and they know just the little things they have to do to make things even better. i was watching the one on NBC last night where they redid the guys apartment and helped him to propose - competely sweet and cute.

my bf was rolling his eyes the whole damn time. he could learn a thing or two from this.

Hehe....baseball cap is the first thing to go. ;)

I used to pretty much dress like a slob all the time, but have acquired some reasonably nice stuff as I've gotten older. We always seem to have some work-related or political functions to go to, so I have more need to look decent these days.

Agreed. Once you hit 20, ditch the lid unless you're still trying to pick up Grade 9's or actually playing baseball.

I just recently got a new suit. Most of the motivation was a friend's wedding at which I'm the best man, but it's nice to be able to look sophisticated from time to time too. Certainly not something I'd wear for going out to have a few :beer:s in, but more of a :martini;ish look. :p

You just gotta know where to look. ;)

I'll hit TJ Maxx or similar places every now and then to stock up. You can get nice stuff if you dig around a little. I picked up a pair of khakis, two Ashworth golf shirts and an Izod buttondown last weekend for about $70 total. :D

I'd grab it now while they're still on sale. The regular price is $300.

I'm not originally from the south, but I've been down here long enough I thought I could pull it off.

The other upshot is that the material is very light, so I don't sweat like a pig at summer weddings and such. All my other suits are wool.

My wife and I watched it last night on NBC and we really liked it. Those 5 guys can really transform a house and person to look really great. The stuff they do has real style, i would love for them to come to my house and totally redo it.
