I guess texas but it's not really a good fit for the analogy. It would have been a while back, I guess. To be an accurate analogy we would have to combine the worst of several US states into one state. Crazies from montana, michigan, and wisconsin along with the arrogance of new england, mixed in with the naievity of iowans, tempered with the overreacting PC-osity of californians. And then add in a few positives, such as the cities with character like san francisco.

I base all of the above off of conan o'brien and the simpsons, and am proud to admit that I do.

nah, come on... don't try to compare us with americans... believe me, we all take this as an insult... we are, of course, way different... and that's the way it is...

we enjoy this difference, and in the past, we simply wanted to protect it but now, the separatism mouvement is dying... it was cool in the 70's, now that's an old politic subject...

the young generation, like me, 20-30, are not really believing in this "distinct society" dream... we won't kiss the Queen Elisabeth feet, but we are more interested in the rest of the Canada than our parents... i have a lot of friends that travelled accross canada and enjoyed it

still, we are different... notre culture c'est le français... for you americans, there' no better place in north america to feel like you are in europe... so, pleaaaaase don't say we are like texas, that's the worst thing you can say... we are like new orlean 🙂

If Quebec actually tries to leave I'd 100% be for sending in the military to encourage them to stand fast. Separatism is for morons and racists.
