new ones been described as a jason statham film by mark kermode. "like watching teletubbies bouncing around in a padded cell"
"If this wasn't James Bond in these fight sequences it would be a Jason Statham movie."

All of the early trailers talked about a November seventh release in the states. I have yet to hear why they changed it.

American Dominance of what? I liked Casino Royale ok, but I also like plenty of other 007 films (including non-Connery ones).

I still remember like 4 years ago hearing about them changing Batman and Bond and going WTF to both.

The best part of Casino Royale was that Chris Cornell song. I actually rewinded the opening credits to hear it again.

Blockbuster movie premiers happen in the US. The other kids don't get to see it until we're bored with it. There is the occasional same-day global release but the US will be the last major market to open Quantum... by several weeks! OMG the world is spinning!

Boromir and Jean Gray made Goldeneye great. All other Pierce Brosnan Bond movies kind of sucked.

Canada is the states, actually it's a state where we get taxed like crazy on things coming in, but you don't pay any taxes on things going out. Awesome isen't it?

Its ratings were so bad they were afraid if it was shown in the US first it would affect overseas numbers. So its US opening was pushed back and they opened it overseas first.

I didn't care for the first one.

He got beat up to much and barely did any ass kicking to even be called a bond.

I saw it. (minor Spoiler)

I didn't want to see the spoilers, did you enjoy it?

yes i liked it. quote from my post:

"THe current Bond series looks more and more like Bourne. now dont get me wrong. i loved the Bourne movies. (altho creating a 4th movie to the Bourne trilogy just screams "Milk the franchise.") but i miss Q and the gadgets. And MoneyPenny.

Daniel Craig is contracted to do 4 Bond movies, so there are 2 more to go. hopefully a (realistic) gadget or 2 gets put in there. (ie: NO bullet deflecting energy shield from his watch.)"

also, like casino royale, the main plot was easy to follow. (ie: main bad guy)
the secondary stories were confusing tho
