There's alot of QW servers out there, but hardly anyone plays anymore. Anyone else interesting in some Quake1 MP?

The multiplayer for Quake sort of sucks. Team Fortress is the only part of online Quake that was any good.

Team Fortress
Expert CTF
Threewave CTF
Action Quake
Clan Arena
Rocket Arena
DM / Team DM
Direct Arena
Mid Air
Kteams Pro

I've just scratched the surface. Yea, the servers may be dead but I blaim that on an aging product that is pretty un-user friendly. What quake1 needs is a remake that is built around windows/linux instead of dos. I really hope quake4 fullfills this, unfortunatly, I don't think the modding community is in full force anymore to make all these excellent mods.

Team Fortress ALL THE WAY BAYBEEE!!! And none of this hacked up Q2-based Half-Life TF crap, oh no, give me QW:TF, or GIVE ME DEATH! :p
There were a lot more mods that rocked for quake, especially if you got the diff. expansion packs (can't remember which, but one of them has sticky grenades). They all rock. I still have it around just for nostaligia reasons, but I didn't know about eQuake. Now to see if my Speedpad will count as a joystick in eQuake. :)

I prefer DM myself. The "team" mods are only good if both sides have players that know what they are doing and work together, and that just never happens. JMO.
