Why does everyone seem to have these either as their post or at the end of it these days? Is this some new leet fad that came around while I was gone? I think I know what QFT means, but it seems to get used in some very odd places, like following a . Can anyone help me out here?

Also, feel free to post QFT and FTW to your little childish heart's content. Only tell me what the point is!

Quoted for Truth, For The Win. It's more or less a safe way to nef. You agree, but don't post an explanation of your opinion, rather, follow someone elses.

I think this term is actually now being used in some advertisements I've come across in a few magazines I read..
So, FTW must only be associated with the computer geek/enthusiast crowd

I find that hard to believe. I've never seen FTW anywhere else except ATOT and counter-strike.

I thought that is what is was too for a while, but people kept using it when they seemed to be agreeing so I figured it out.

I'm sure if I'd googled it would have come up with many different replies. That's the thing about acronyms. I figured that if I wanted to know why people here posted it, that it would make sense to ask the people here. Thanks for wasting your time dumping in my thread. Bye, now!

the point of FTW is based on the premise that there is going to be one answer/post in every thread that will be the best or the winner!!! Like there is a an unspoken ranking system of posts. So if someone posts something that is so complete and correct that you can only scream YOUR THE WINNING POST!!!! FTW!!!!!!!!

You really hate thread crappers, don't you? Shouldn't you change your ": ) Amanda" when you respond to a thread crap? It makes it a bit misleading.
