No.....I'm too visual of a person and much of what I try to share with another person relies on vision.

Depends on the definition of blind... I'm nearly blind without my contacts lol. Maybe.

My gf is disabled...I am too. First girl with a disability I've gotten serious with, and honestly, I wouldn't change a thing.

I continued dating her (and visiting her at the hospital 3 times a week) and in fact we both got closer to each other than ever before. I don't regret staying with her one bit. Superficially, I don't really care about her missing limb because her personality hadn't changed (and that was what made me like her in the first place). We ended up going to Sea World (and she walked the entire time) the weekend after she got her prosthetic (which also wasnt long after she was released from the hospital).

We spend time pretty much like nothing changed. She walks a little slower, but that's good for me since I walk kinda slow anyway hehe. We still go to Disneyland on a weekly basis, San Diego about every month, and we still hit the metal concerts like nothing changed.

Only difference between before and after was that now I have to massage her stump, but that's a small price to pay to keep her life as close to normal as possible. She is also even more loyal and loving to me than ever before. She is simply a great person worth keeping no matter what.

My friends and family accepted her very well and she feels comfortable around them.

Almost a year later, we are still going strong. :)

I wish your ratings were turned on...+10 in my book :)

Your story is really touching, you are a true to behold.

The spirit of love and compassion runs deep within you, displaying the true spirit of bushido
Wish this world there more people like you!!!
May I present you, the worthy and respected one, the 7 principles of bushido, reflecting your true spirit:
1. Gi: the right decision, taken with equanimity, the right attitude, the truth. Rectitude.
2. Yu: bravery tinged with heroism.
3. Jin: universal love, benevolence toward mankind; compassion.
4. Rei: right action--a most essential quality, courtesy.
5. Makoto: utter sincerity; truthfulness.
6. Melyo: honor and glory.
7. Chugo: devotion, loyalty.

Fvck no I wouldn't.

Couldn't go biking, couldn't go to movies, couldn't have her drive over to my place, couldn't do hardly ANYTHING. I'd be an unpaid nurse more than a boyfriend. Sorry.

I dated a girl who was deaf in one ear and going deaf in the other... Sorta dating her again now although I'm not sure (no YAGT for me). She's really great, and is learning sign language now partly for her job (working with special needs kids), and partly for when her hearing totally goes. I kinda wanna learn too, for her.

Id date a blind chick but only if she had no eyes so I could put my thingy in them and squirt out thick loads and make new ones.

D3m0nHunt3r, you need to go away. Preferably in real life too.

not having eye contact would be difficult, because so much can be communicated that way, without words. but i don't think i would rule it out.

I obviously wouldn't now, since I'm married, but my first girlfriend was legally blind (couldn't drive, hard time reading and writing, but could still see somewhat out of one eye) and we dated for three years.
