OK. heres the thing. Since he fried his last three processors (Yup thats a 1.2 Tbird, a 1.2 Tbird, and a 1.33 Tbird each within a few minutes of turning it on), hes paranoid about frying another so he decided he would put his HSF (some crappy one) in the freezer to cool it down (like i said, hes a dumbass) and then he put it all together. He had the HSF on the CPU for a few minutes b4 he started up and when he did, he got an error message saying could not initialize processor. And then he had to leave cuz he had a flight that left and hes still gone so dont ask him to try stuff. I just want to know now since I get to call him a dumbass (well more of one) if I know he fried 4. :) BTW, this was a 1.33 Tbird on a KT7A in case youre wondering how much property he destroyed.

Edit-****I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU THINK HIS FOURTH IS SCREWED AND NOT JUST LAUGH AT HIM BUT FEEL FREE TO DO SO IN YOUR RESPONSE****

How the heck is he frying them? Can't he put a heatsink on properly (or use a proper heatsink)???

OK The first one was sorta my fault. I fried my processor and i wanted to see if it was indeed fried so i tried and i think i screwed up his mobo which in turn screwed up his CPU but the part that sealed the deal was because he decided to remove the HSF and the turn it on to see how hot it would get. The second was cuz he forgot to take the plastic off the thermal compound. The third i think is he used POS thermal compound and you know about the fourth. I dont really need answers to whether hes a dumbass tho. I'd rather have your opinion on whether you think his processor is screwed or if it wont operate below a certain temp (thats what he thinks)

Can you send me one of those chips so I can make a keyring out of them?

That would be cool.;)

I think your both not to bright, how would you screw up his board by putting in a dead cpu??

Oh, and about the 4th CPU. it's probably dead as well. and he might have killed his mobo too.
considering he put his HSF in the freezer. when taken out, there'll be water all over it.

water + electronic circuit = bad bad thing :)

tell him to log on here.. and we will get this set straight.. WEll (after he orders another one)!!!!!!

edit: i got dibs on one of those chips too!

Well I keep telling you hes not stupid (well he is) but he keeps forgetting something. Anyways, he did wipe the water off the HSF. You can talk through me (im talking to him on MSN) because he doesnt want to give away his info.
