na. Im sure hes not sending out any fried processors. Think, hes rich enuf to fry processors, hes rich enuf to keep a fried one for a keychain (he wants it as a necklace but w/e)

Since he fried his last three processors (Yup thats a 1.2 Tbird, a 1.2 Tbird, and a 1.33 Tbird each within a few minutes of turning it on),

chances are that baby's dead.. my friend pulled a similar trick with his Iwill KK266, and the processor went kaploot.

I usually don't recommend this, but MAYBE he should just get himself an OEM system...?

AFAIK CPUs are usually to be installed by &quot;professional personnel&quot; which he clearly isn't.

I'm surprised his shop gave him warranty the 2nd time round ...

Maybe that chap is someone who should stick to the systems that Dell, Compaq, IBM &amp; all that lot build. It's a no-brainer, but some ppl just better keep their hands away from PC's :).

Either that, or he's got the most amazing streak of bad luck.

As to putting FHS into a fridge => ROFL. Well done matey - with any luck you managed to introduce WATER (condensation) to your system. Congratulations - Water + Electricity == fried hardware :).

but with his trackrecord, i bet its fried...

i guess i'm too late to get a key chain? unless he fries a 7th or something....

anyways, TAKE IT TO A LOCAL STORE, and pay them a few bucks to install the hsf!!!

god!! wut does your friend do for a living? tell me hes not a doctor, dentist, or mechanic...

he sounds like a total klutz...

ITS NOT ME. I SWEAR!!! IM NOT STUPID!! :) Besides, would you want a fellow anandtecher being that stupid? Thats gotta drag down the IQ level here or something. Anyways, I did say he wiped the water off his HSF. And no, hes not a doctor (thank god...) Hes more of a slacker.

Tell him to get an Intel CPU. It should last at least 3 or 4 screwups before any damage occurs. Then once he thinks he has his head out of his arse far enough to do it right then let him try with an AMD.
