could be that the material was from a later fix. they'd need substantial samples from all over the upper parts of the pyramid to determine if most of the top is concrete. but i think it isn't rational to dispute that their sample certainly was concrete.

I have a hard time believing this. Concrete is credited to the Romans as the inventors.

Just because history credits the Romans as the inventors of concrete does not mean that some group of people didn't invent it earlier.

Obviously the wheel came before the chariot. But oldest wheel and varying uses of wheels in specific places or manners do not necessarily have any relationship.

Well if you know anything about the growth of civilization then you would understand how there could be a relationship there.

Ahh, I've read the article now. I knew they had already figured out where much of the rock was quarried, and that there was granite in the pyramid as well. I thought that there was a surface coating of some sort of limestone cement on some of the pyramids; i.e. I thought it was always accepted that there was some cement; just not that the blocks were made of cement. (Perhaps I had seen an article decades ago by one of those scientists)
