could be that the material was from a later fix. they'd need substantial samples from all over the upper parts of the pyramid to determine if most of the top is concrete. but i think it isn't rational to dispute that their sample certainly was concrete.

I have a hard time believing this. Concrete is credited to the Romans as the inventors.

Just because history credits the Romans as the inventors of concrete does not mean that some group of people didn't invent it earlier.

Can you imagine their conversations in heaven?

People like Alexander Graham bell and his phone, Thomas Edison and all his stuff, but this guy pimp slaps them all with his "I invented the wheel, bitch!"

Right. Differential gears were thought to be invented in the 16th century until they found the Antikythera mechanism from the 1st century b.c.

... And how the hell did they know how to refine, pour, set, sculpt, and reinforce concrete but not have the friggin wheel??

Ausm

Pyramids at Giza: 2500BC
Chariots in Egypt: 1500BC

Wrongo, The oldest wheel was discovered in Mesopotamia and probably dates back to 3,500 B.C.

Ausm
What does that have to do with chariots in tombs? Or with Egypt? Mesopotamia != Egypt.
Obviously the wheel came before the chariot. But oldest wheel and varying uses of wheels in specific places or manners do not necessarily have any relationship.

Well if you know anything about the growth of civilization then you would understand how there could be a relationship there.

Ausm

I know plenty about the growth of civilisation thank you very much. And I understand how there COULD be a relationship, but I also understand that it doesn't mean there WAS necessarily a relationship.

I find this hard to believe given that the ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques still exist and are practiced to this day.

So you're not capable of rational thought on your own? Your professor has to tell you? And what if he tells you a lie?

makes sense with the ramp theory. the earth ramps where used to drag stones up, but at the very top it would get some big ass ramps..... so at the top they just poured in place the stones, ingenious really.

sure makes the explanations easier, and them not have to put up 20 ton stones up that high.

I really wish newspapers would get the headlines correct:
(large font) Nutcase claims pyramids made of concrete (end large font)
(medium sized font) Nutcase also claims to be a scientist (end medium sized font)
(begin story)

history only tells us what the controlling people want us to hear.

Many don't understand how powerful families don't really die out...they may be replaced at times. Rarely are they are erased. Throughout time their power and wealth grows.

as a teacher, wouldnt you be more likely to appreciate the challenging of common theories in order to find or better understand the truth?

remember, at one point people thought the world was flat ;)

Ahh, I've read the article now. I knew they had already figured out where much of the rock was quarried, and that there was granite in the pyramid as well. I thought that there was a surface coating of some sort of limestone cement on some of the pyramids; i.e. I thought it was always accepted that there was some cement; just not that the blocks were made of cement. (Perhaps I had seen an article decades ago by one of those scientists)

No. I am completely capable of rational thought. I'm talkin about the report that will come down from the egyptologist...
