Sorry forgot the NSFW, I totally ignored the rest of the site when my brother sent me the link. As I said, sorry if it's a repost, I searched for "mustang video" and got no results at all.

And why didnt he just hit the brakes?

Was probably letting in and out the clutch instead.

Actually it sounds like he turned the key in gear. Sounds weird that the starter motor would be that powerful.

eitherway that is one sweet mustang.

You've gotta have the clutch in to start a manual.

He started it and dumped the clutch, then proceeded to panic.

Thank you for pointing out my stupidity. I've been driving a manual for 20 years.

I completely forgot that you have to push in the clutch. It's like second nature to me.

I liked the older one better, so if he had to drive one through a wall, I'd rather it be the new one. Of course, not driving through a wall at all would be the first choice.

Not on older cars. Started my MG in first and it jerked forward 5' before the engine died. (luckily it only has 60hp)

heh, that's the thing. It's so natural to push in the clutch that one doesn't even realize one is doing it.

Now drop a 180 HP motor into that MG and go racin'

I never use the clutch when starting, just make sure it's not in gear and it's fine.

Do you guys leave manuals in gear when you turn off the engine?

what kind of car do you have? both manual cars that I"ve had won't let you turn on the car w/o using the clutch.

I normally don't leave it in gear unless i'm parked on a hill...
