That is so weird; they've recreated the bug; I wonder if they've recreated the accounts and its doing the same thing; possiblity *unlikely* something in the code isn't like the name or something.
If its been raised to the highest level; they aren't ignoring it; but working on a fix and that at times takes time unfortunately.
If it was as easily as creating new accounts *which you can't really as those accounts already exist and the system will say that* they would note the games; delete the account and create new account add games. Test - and that's where I think they've hit the snag......its crashed again on the account.
I am sure they are working on it. But, it would be nice to get updates on it. My kids' summer is half over and they still haven't been able to play the game. I plan to chat with them again next week. I don't know if they have tried it, but I plan to ask them to move the games from the old accounts to a new adult accounts and see if it works then. If they cannot move the games they should at least be able to lock the old accounts and give me new games under new accounts.
Both of their accounts are kid accounts and have underscores in their user names. So, I would suspect it is because of one of those things. Or, their cloud saves are corrupted. But to have two accounts with corrupted saves that crash the came at the same spot seems less likely to me. I also told the techs I don't care about the saves, because it has never really worked, so their isn't much there to lose.
