Thats a decent shirt for just $25 bucks.

I like Kohl's but it's hit or miss for me. I get 5% cash back there this month though and got too skinny for my old clothes 🙂

This thread makes me realize how lucky I am I don't even need to wear dress shirts at work.

Heck I seen some of my coworkers even wear shorts. I feel odd doing that but if I see it's the norm, then awesome, I will too. The beauty of working in a laid back non customer facing building.

Same with me. Im glad i go wear old beat up jeans and tshirts to work and nobody cares. Heck all my work clothes have some form of glue/adhesive/chaulking/ or paint on them at this point. Once it gets to old or holes (mostly tshirts) just buy new normal ones and retire the old ones ot work shirts. Id feel weird if i had to dress up everyday.

Wow...you guys must be making some big bucks.

They Apt 9 are a modern fit, they look really nice. I take my shirts to get tailored after I buy them. Also, they almost always have some kind of sale where you can get 15% to 20% off the already listed sale price. I bought a total of 7 of the Apt 9 shirts.

It's not all about the money bro, it's about being happy.

I rather have my current job making ~60k than to make 100k+ as a director or other high end management position having to wear a suit and deal with political BS all day.

Sure, 100k+ per year would be nice, and my house would probably be paid off by now and I'd be driving a high end car, but then I'd just want even more. Money is not everything.

i wear purple and pink searsucker shirts under a sportcoat but id never wear a solid bright purple at work even though that would be fashionable where i live.

I prefer wearing suits everyday to wearing business casual, that's for sure. I'm not sure that I would like wearing casual clothes to work.

Ehhh.. you can't man up for +66% salary increase? I guess not all people desire to move up and few are content staying where they are.

That's the thing, I'm happy where I am and it's definitely nice to be wearing something comfortable too. When I wear dress stuff for a funeral or wedding or something I can't wait to get it off.

I have to wear horrible fitting polo's in either dark green or navy blue with my company's name printed on them..🙁. I'd love to wear 'dressy' shirts again, I fucking hate polos now.

Those are fine, so I assume the OP meant something like this. Could be worse

I have that shirt. I make it a pantie dropper.

I can move up and still not have to wear a suit or dress up. Just cause you dont have to wear dress shirts/suits doesnt mean you cant be making plenty of money, if not more than quite a few who do have to wear suits.

I used to hate wearing business clothes until I started buying better made stuff and getting my shirts made to measure. Well made wool suits or slacks with lined pants and 100% cotton dress shirts that actually fit you are not significantly less comfortable than street clothes. Wearing a tie still sucks though.

Wore a purple gingham shirt under grey suit to a wedding this summer. In a sea of dudes wearing black suits with white shirts, I received no end of compliments. And I'm an ugly mofo.

Can't believe grown men are afraid of color.

I wear dress shirts 5 days a week, and I get the most "looks" when I wear bright pastel colors like purple and pink. Bro's may think it's gay, but chicks dig it.

i wear purple all the time. nothing wrong with wearing a purple dress shirt, especially if you look good in it.
