Another plus for the PS3 is free online play. I know that XBOX Live Gold is only $50/year (I think), but after 4 years of paying that, you might as well tack on $200 to the price of the XBOX 360, which makes it a much more-expensive choice than the PS3.

Without going into the differences between Live and PSN, yes it is nice to have free online play. However, $50 is MSRP for a year of Live. If you watch for deals it's not uncommon to find it for $30 per 13 months. Last time I saw that deal I got 4 cards (2 for each of my 360s).

Oh yeah, MS kind of makes it a pain to use the same account on two Xboxes; I guess they feel the need to do that because it's a paid account, and they don't want people to be able to share accounts. The easiest way to use an account on 2 Xboxes is with a memory card, which will set you back even more money. :) A Live account can't exist on 2 Xboxes at the same time.

I might be wrong but I think it's not that hard to share PS3 accounts? That way if you have DLC/Bought stuff from the store you could in theory share with other PS3's and if so inclined other users.

I don't know anything about it since I haven't done it but there seems to be a fair amount of discussion about it.
